Andrew Zimmern is a well-known culinary guru who has achieved enormous success in the food media. Furthermore, Zimmern has had some huge ups and downs in the past due to dipsomania and drug addiction.

Following his victory against addictions, the guy rose to prominence. However, it proved to be detrimental to his love life.

Zimmern and his wife are now divorced. Let’s go into Andrew’s love life in detail, including his failed marriage, parenthood, and more.

In late 2002, Zimmern and Haas married.

Andrew Zimmern married his better half Rishia Haas in a private wedding ceremony on December 26, 2002. The pair appeared to be in a rush to marry. “We couldn’t wait to get married,” the chef told the Star Tribune.

Andrew Zimmern and Rishia Haas have been married for more than 15 years.

They planned their wedding reception a month after the ceremony.

Rishia Hass Is Andrew Zimmern’s Wife?

Hass worked as an admissions coordinator at The Retreat: Alive with the Spirit of Recovery in the past. She went on to work as an administrative assistant at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. She now works as a beekeeper at the University of Minnesota Bee Lab.

Rishia received her bachelor’s degree from Augsburg University.

When and how did they first meet?

Rishia met Andrew in 1999 while both were working at a cooking school in Minnesota. While Haas worked in the shop, he was a teacher.

They started dating after that and dated for nearly two years before getting married.

Andrew Zimmern and Rishia Haas’s Child: Their Unconditional Love

In 2005, Andrew Zimmern’s wife Rishia gave birth to their son Noah Zimmern. The parents used to take their son on several vacations.

In honor of Father’s Day 2016, Haas tweeted a wonderful photo of himself with his gorgeous child, stating, “Father’s Day can also be the sweetest of days.” Wonderful weekend with the child. Thank you to @StRegisAspen for your assistance in making it so wonderful under unique circumstances.”

The gorgeous pair was madly in love with each other. In an interview with Oyster in 2011, the reality TV star also mentioned his girlfriend as his ideal travel companion.

Despite their years of marriage, their marital partnership eventually fell apart. Andrew has said that his fame and rigorous schedule destroyed his marriage.

Andrew and his wife Rishia divorced in 2018: What Happened Next?

According to The New York Times, the couple divorced in 2018 after more than 15 years of marriage. Andrew claimed that he quit the restaurant industry to pursue a career in culinary journalism to become a dedicated family guy. Despite this, the enormous success that followed the shift had the opposite impact. He stated,

“I wasn’t present for my wife, and I wasn’t present for my son.” My wife gave me a thousand opportunities to put things right.”

Andrew went on to express his gratitude for the delayed role in the family, saying,

“I want to be the best dad and the best ex I can be”

Furthermore, Zimmern told the Minnesota Post that his wife and children were victims of his celebrity.

According to insiders, the two formalized their divorce following a 15-month separation. However, the divorce was peaceful, and the chef still respects and loves his ex-wife.

Andrew published a lengthy Instagram message on Mother’s Day to express his gratitude to Rishai and his mother.

He captioned the photo,

Two wonderful mothers. I’m not sure where to begin. My mother died many years ago, and it was a difficult day for me. Mother’s Day isn’t usually this difficult. She had a catastrophic brain injury in 1974 and spent the next 40 years of her life in dreadful conditions.

But she’d go into a room more thankful for sunshine or a cloud than anyone I’d ever met. The 13 years I spent with her to begin my life were extremely important, and she is responsible for much of who I am.

Then there’s @therishia, the bravest mother I know. Finished. She goes through fires for our kid, conflagrations that no one else can even approach, and she is frequently the only one who smells the smoke!

The three-person family lived in Minnesota. Their son is now co-parented by the two.
