Fans who have inquired about Bubba Wallace’s wife, Amanda Carter, should be informed that the couple just married. They first met in high school, but Wallace had to wait a long before she fell for him.

William Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. was born on October 8, 1993, in Mobile, Alabama, but raised in Concord, North Carolina. He is an American professional stock car racer. Wallace competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 23 Toyota Camry for 23XI Racing.

He also drives the No. 1 Toyota Tundra for Tricon Garage in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on a part-time basis. Wallace’s story began when he was nine years old. He began competing in the Bandolero and Legends car racing circuits, as well as local late-model races.

The driver distinguished himself in 2005 by winning 35 of the Bandolero Series’ 48 events. In 2008, he became the youngest driver to win at Virginia’s Franklin County Speedway. Wallace is an advocate for mental health because he has experienced depression. Wallace said in 2019 that he has fought with depression throughout his racing career.

Meet Amanda Carter: Bubba Wallace’s Wife

Bubba Wallace is now married to his longtime lover, Amanda Carter. She attended the same high school as Wallace. The two originally met in a Spanish class at Northwest Cabarrus High School in North Carolina. Wallace was a year older than Carter, who was a freshman, and Carter was a sophomore.

Wallace felt for Carter right away, but she took her time about it. They claim they sat next to one another in class and frequently worked on assignments in small groups. Carter was a brilliant student, although Wallace was not, and he frequently attempted to cheat on her answer sheet during Spanish tests.

Despite their high school connection, their romantic relationships did not work out. Carter even attended Wallace’s prom with someone else. They stayed in touch after Wallace graduated high school in 2011, and their romance bloomed after they met at a football game. Wallace’s racing commitments and frequent travel meant they were in a long-distance relationship or friendship.

But things changed when Wallace invited her to one of his races. They claim that their romance started after this vacation. After five years of dating, Wallace proposed to Carter in July 2021, and they married on New Year’s Eve 2022 in Charlotte, North Carolina, in front of 250 friends and family.

Bubba Wallace’s Parents and Family

Bubba Wallace was born in the house of his parents, Darrell Wallace Sr. and Desiree Wallace. His father has an industrial cleaning business. Wallace’s mother, on the other hand, is a social worker and a former UT track athlete. His father is white, and his mother is black, hence he is mixed race. Despite coming from a white area, Wallace Sr. has always encouraged his son to represent the black community.

Wallace Jr. aspires to be the first black driver in the NASCAR Hall of Fame, inspired by his father. Wallace regards it as a duty, but he strives not to let it overshadow his enjoyment of the sport. This goal is not only for his father but also for his mother, who experienced her fair share of racial persecution growing up.
