Iman, a.k.a. Zara Mohamed Abdulmajid, has frequently demonstrated that real love never dies. Even though she lost her husband to sickness, she still remembers him on their anniversary. Iman, a supermodel, entrepreneur, and actor, prefers to refer to herself as married to her partner rather than a widower.

Is Iman Married? Relationship

The Somali supermodel was married to David Bowie, an English singer, and actor. She met her husband, David, on a blind date set up by a mutual acquaintance in 1990.

David, she claims, fell in love with her at first sight, but she grew to love him after some time. After courting for over a year, the couple married on June 6, 1992, in Florence, Italy.

Alexandria Zahra Jones, the couple’s first child, was born in 2000. The actress and her husband spent their 23rd wedding anniversary together till David died of liver disease in 2016 at the age of 69.

The artist’s death was verified via his Facebook page, which disclosed that he had been battling cancer for almost 18 months. Even though the pair had only been together for a short time, their PDA moments in public are nonetheless unforgettable.

It must have been difficult for her to lose the love of her life, but she confessed that she was focused on caring for her daughter, who was extremely young to lose a father.

Following their loss, her daughter once asked her if she planned to remarry, to which she replied that she still considers herself married to David. She stated,

“Someone referred to David as my late spouse a few years ago, and I responded, ‘No, he’s not my late husband.’
My husband is his name.”

Despite David’s absence, the actress recently marked their 30th wedding anniversary alone. In an interview with People, the entrepreneur admitted that she still struggles with her husband’s absence from her life and has some difficult days as a result.

Nonetheless, her attractive daughter Alexandria, who is well-known in the fashion sector, has assisted her in moving forward.

Davis and the actress had children from previous marriages before meeting and marrying. David has a son named Duncan Jones from his first marriage to Angie Bowie, while the Somali supermodel has a daughter named Zulekha Haywood from her first marriage to Spencer Haywood.

Her Eating Habits

The late-sixties supermodel had the appearance of someone in their early twenties. In a 2015 interview with The Cut, she explained the secrets to her healthy lifestyle.

She explained that she had been following a timetable for some time. She first gets up at 5:30 or 6 a.m. to start her fantastic day.  Iman said that early am is her favorite time of day because her family is still sleeping and her workplace doors are still locked.

She gets up and drinks a glass of warm lemon water before lying down for 20 to 30 minutes to relax. She then spends time with her family, having breakfast with them.

Iman began her training with group step-aerobics and then boxing, but due to leg problems, she is currently only doing cardio.

She also stated that she dislikes other meats and only eats chicken and fish. She explained that she does not restrict herself to consuming only certain types of food, but instead works to maintain a perfect balance between meals.

Exercise, self-esteem, and balancing your favorite meals, according to her, are the most important components in preserving health.
