Wesley Snipes, 59, has been a cinematic legend for almost 30 years. Since his 1986 debut in the Goldie Hawn sports comedy Wildcats, he has starred in a number of critically acclaimed films, such as the crime drama New York City and the science fiction thriller Blade.

Wesley has had two marriages in his lifetime. From 1985 until 1990, he was married to April Dubois, with whom he had his eldest son, and he is currently married to Nakyung “Nikki” Park, with whom he has four children.

Wesley described how fatherhood affected his depiction of General Izzi in the sitcom Coming to 2 America in a March 2021 interview with Fatherly. “General Izzi represents my children’s influence and inspiration on me.

The nuances, the timing, the humor, and the way they handled the situation. “My pleasure is a reflection of them and their influence on me,” he explained.

Who are Wesley Snipes’s children?

The famous actor’s children were born to two different women. His first child, Jelani, is the result of his first marriage to April Dubois, while his subsequent four children are the consequence of his successful relationship and marriage to Nakyung “Nikki” Park.

Jelani Asar Snipes

In 1988, Wesley and his first wife welcomed their first kid. Wesley’s sole child with April is 34-year-old Jelani Asar. Although he has avoided the spotlight for the most part, he did appear as a newborn in one of his father’s flicks.

He portrayed Miles, a one-year-old, in a scene from the 1990 film Mo’ Better Blues, directed by Spike Lee. Since Wesley and April’s divorce in 1990, his child has stayed relatively secret.

It appears that his participation in Mo’ Better Blues was his only cinematic role. According to LinkedIn, Jelani is the current Chief Marketing Officer of a meta-marketing company.

Akehnaten Kihwa-T Snipes

A few years prior to their wedding, Wesley and Nikki had their oldest child in Akehnaten, 22 years ago, via Buzz South Africa. Wesley’s wife, April, is a painter and visual artist who frequently posts images of her work on Instagram, however, specifics about her are scant.

All four of Wesley Snipes and Nikki’s children have the same naming arrangement, with a “T” following their given names.

It appears that the couple has kept their children out of the spotlight, as little is known about them beyond their names. Their son’s name seems to have been inspired by an Egyptian king who ruled between 1372 and 1335 BCE.

Iset Jua-T Snipes

Wesley’s sole child was born shortly before he met his future spouse. In 2001, Nikki gave birth to Iset Jua-T, who is currently 20 years old.

According to Definitions.net, Wesley and Nikki plainly regard their daughter and eldest child to be nobility, as her first name is an Ancient Egyptian phrase that signifies “(She) of the kingdom.”

While the couple conceals their relationship and children, it is evident that Wesley is a devoted parent. In January 2018, he released a video of fathers aiding and protecting their children, along with the caption “Every day is Father’s Day” and emoticons of prayer hands.

Alaafia Jehu-T Snipes

The next year after Wesley and Nikki’s marriage in 2003, their first child, Alaafia, was born. Like his older sibling, his parents appear to shield him from the spotlight.

Even though he is anonymous, his name has special importance. According to NamesFolder, his name appears to be derived from the Arabic name “Alafia,” which means “Peace.”

Wesley Snipes stated in a March 2021 interview with Fatherly that his wife and children appeared in one scene in his film Headed 2 America, although he did not provide any other information.

“In addition, my family is involved. They appeared unexpectedly. He stated, “We’ll see if they can be located.” They are all in an identical situation.
