Petr Kellner, a helicopter mishap in Alaska recently claimed the life of a Czech millionaire. The richest individual in the Czech Republic, according to estimates, is Kellner, who is thought to be worth $17.5 billion. Immediately following the opening of the Czech Republic in the late 1980s, Petr began by selling office supplies.

He established the PPF Investment Company with partners to take part in the privatization of state-owned businesses. Before entering the financial, manufacturing, and telecommunications sectors, PPF acquired an interest in the largest insurance firm in the nation. Petr had emerged as a significant player in the Czech Republic’s international affairs as a result of the PPF’s activity in other countries.

Petr concealed his family life from the public despite being the richest person in the Czech Republic

Iva Kellnerova and Petr Kellner’s first union resulted in divorce. He then wed Renata Kellnerova and they had four kids together. Anna Kellnerova, a child of the marriage, excels in equestrian competition.

Kellner made an effort to keep his personal life private. To a statement made public by PPF, Petr will pass away in the same way he lived—with his family by his side. The funeral, according to the firm, will be a family affair:

The age of Peter Kellner was 56. His remarkable work ethic and ingenuity were well-known in his professional life, but his domestic life belonged to his family. Only his immediate family members will attend his burial. We kindly request that the media respect the Kellner family’s privacy during this trying time.

Petr Kellner and his wife established The Kellner Family Foundation

To aid in the education of children from underprivileged homes, Petr and his wife established The Kellner Family Foundation.

In 2002, Petr and Renata established the Educa foundation. The Foundation, which gave awards to pupils in grammar schools, was led by Renata. The Kellner Family Foundation was established by the couple in 2009, and the Educa Foundation was merged into it two years later.

Through grammar school and university, the Kellner Family Foundation supports socially disadvantaged students. Additionally, it provides money for teachers and administrators to advance their education, which raises the standard of instruction provided in public schools. The Foundation further contributes to a few Czech scientific initiatives. A portion of the Foundation’s mission reads as follows:

“Grants were meant for both luminaries who have won the respect of international scientific communities and for talents who are just beginning their research careers, such as recent medical and life science graduates who want to gain experience at prestigious institutions. All of our initiatives share the same objective of inspiring those with the necessary skills to reach new heights.
